State Street Bank welcomes Bergman as assistant vice president and trust officer

QUINCY — State Street Bank recently announced that Matt Bergman has joined the bank’s trust department as assistant vice president and trust officer.
Bergman brings a diverse background in relationship management, fundraising and community engagement. He graduated from Quincy University with a bachelor of science degree and a master’s degree business administration. Most recently, he worked as the senior director of advancement at Quincy University for 14 years.
“We are thrilled to welcome Matt to our trust department,” said Scott Smith, president of State Street Bank, in a press release. “His strong community ties, leadership background and client-focused approach make him a valuable addition to our team.
Bergman is a member and former president of the Quincy Rotary Club, serves on the board of the Quincy Rotary Foundation and is a board member of the Covered Bottoms Diaper Bank. His previous board service includes roles with the United Way of Adams County, Quincy University’s Mart Heinen Club and the Quincy Catholic Elementary Schools Foundation.
