Terry Anastas Tour de Quincy ride on July 12 to benefit trail development

QUINCY — Friends of the Trails will host its annual fundraising bicycle ride on Saturday, July 12. The Terry Anastas Tour de Quincy will take place throughout the city of Quincy, starting at The Dock, 1021 Bonansinga Drive.
The Tour de Quincy is a family friendly fundraising recreational bike ride, named in honor of the late Terry Anastas, a longtime Friends of the Trails board member and supporter of trail development. The goal of this year’s event is to raise $25,000 in 2025, with 100% of proceeds going toward Phase 5 of the Bill Klingner Trail.
The event features bicycle routes suitable for all ages and skill levels including the following:
- 7-mile family ride: Ideal for varied skill levels, this ride is on a dedicated bike path and the Bill Klingner Trail.
- 12-mile Tour de Quincy: A poker run route stopping at five local bars (Instant Replay, Tangerine Bowl, Harrison Pub, The Scoreboard and Quincy Brewing Company.) Participants who stop at all five bars receive a poker hand at the end of the ride. The highest two hands will win prizes, including a first-place prize of $200 in cash and a second-place prize of a cooler from the Rinella Co. Third place will receive a Quincy Brewing Company gift. Bicycles, motorcycles and personal vehicles are permitted.
- 30-mile Tour de Quincy: Another poker run route with the same local bars, but an extended ride.
Event schedule:
