United Way of Adams County names Buckley director of programs and services
QUINCY — United Way of Adams County recently announced the appointment of Adams County native Makayla Buckley as its director of programs and services.
Buckley has spent the past several years working in social media and marketing, gaining experience in communications, outreach and engagement.
Her professional journey includes work with the Susan G. Komen Foundation in Missouri, where she supported efforts to raise awareness for breast cancer research. At Blessing Health, Buckley planned and managed events. She also contributed to planning and coordinating Rethinksgiving, a local food drive hosted by Rethink Media.
Buckley’s responsibilities include chairing the Unmet Needs committee, responding to the Helpline, assisting with veteran services and coordinating the annual Day of Caring. Her experience with planning, outreach and marketing will play a role in developing community connections and showing up for individuals in need.
In a press release, Buckley said, “I am honored to join United Way of Adams County and contribute to the incredible work being done here. As someone raised in Adams County, I am passionate about making a lasting difference in our community and am excited to bring my skills and vision to this role.”
