Ursa designated Smart Rural Community by NTCA and Adams Fiber

URSA, Ill. — The village of Ursa has officially received the distinguished Smart Rural Community (SRC) designation from NTCA–The Rural Broadband Association, in partnership with Adams Fiber. This achievement highlights Ursa’s commitment to progress, innovation, and leveraging advanced broadband to enhance the quality of life for residents.
At the July village board meeting, Bridgette Northern, director of marketing; Lori Miller, marketing coordinator; and Danielle Flesner, graphic designer, all from Adams Fiber, presented this prestigious honor to Mayor Dennis Boccardi Jr. and the Ursa Village Board. The occasion celebrated Ursa’s dedication to embracing technology and building a brighter future for its citizens.
“This designation is a testament to Ursa’s drive to advance and empower community members with robust broadband provided by Adams Fiber,” said Northern, in a press release. “In support of next-level connectivity, Adams is empowering students with better education opportunities, delivering improved access to telehealth services, and enhancing the overall quality of life for everyone who calls Ursa home.”
