Villa Kathrine returns to warm weather schedule
QUINCY — Friends of the Castle recently moved the Villa Kathrine to its “warm weather schedule.” The villa is open from 9 a.m. to p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 1 to 5 p.m. on Sundays.
In addition to celebrating the 124th anniversary of the construction of the Mediterranean-style villa, 37 years of serving as Quincy’s tourist information center and Great River Road Interpretive Center also are being celebrated. Available every day for individual and group educational tours, the Villa Kathrine has had visitors from all 50 states and 101 different countries in its 124 years.
The villa, staffed by volunteers, is on the Mississippi River bluff at 532 Gardner Expressway.
