Wednesday ceremony at Quincy Police Department to recognize fallen police officers
QUINCY — Every day, police officers sacrifice much to protect and serve their communities. In 2023, 137 police officers nationwide gave the ultimate sacrifice for the greater good — their lives.
The Quincy Police Department will honor all fallen police officers with a brief ceremony at 9 a.m. Wednesday, May 15, outside of police headquarters at 530 Broadway. The public is invited to attend and should arrive early.
In recognition of this important day, the American flag is flown at half-staff. The Quincy Police Honor Guard will lower the flags to half-staff during the ceremony.
