Western Catholic Union to hold Member Appreciation and Service Day on Friday

QUINCY — Western Catholic Union is hosting its first ever Member Appreciation and Service Day on Friday, May 2. Members will be attending from 10 different branches located in Illinois and Missouri.
The activities will begin with a social/dinner Thursday, May 1, at Town & Country Inn & Suites Embassy Room beginning at 5:30 p.m. Members will return to the hotel on Friday morning for a light breakfast at 8 a.m, followed by a presentation beginning at 8:30 a.m. During the presentation, several members will be recognized for their service and dedication to their respective branch.
At 9:45 a.m. members will divide up and head to various community service projects around Quincy. All participants will meet at noon at the WCU office at 510 Maine for an office tour.
The community service projects are:
- Horizons Soup Kitchen
- Sew Essentials
- Good Samaritan Home
- Trash pick-up downtown
The day will end at 12:30 p.m. with a box lunch at the WCU Hall.
