QUINCY — A half-day educational workshop, titled “A Dynamic Duo: Your Board Chair and Executive Directors,” is planned for non-profit directors and their non-profit board chairs from 9 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, Nov. 14, at Quincy Worx, 3701 East Lake Centre Drive.

The cost is $89 per person, or $75 per person if at least two tickets are bought for both the non-profit director and their board chair. Registration can be completed at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/a-dynamic-duo-your-nonprofit-board-chair-and-executive-director-quincy-tickets-721259144517?aff=oddtdtcreator or by calling 573-719-5019.

Amy Vaughn, recognized local non-profit leader and consultant for Be The Change For Your Community, LLC, will join forces with Rhonda Travers, CEO and president of Travers Training and Consulting, to lead this workshop.

Be The Change hopes this workshop will empower, inspire and equip the executive director and board chair to tackle problems and join together to effectively lead their organizations through improved communication and shared vision. The workshop will help these leaders to find common ground, learn how to communicate and increase engagement and work together.

In a press release, Vaughn said, “It’s been my observation that many times, non-profit directors feel isolated and alone, and boards may feel uninformed and ill-equipped to adequately help the organization as much as they would like. It really does take a village to impact the world. We all play a significant role, and naturally, we are stronger together.”

A second workshop is planned for Wednesday, Nov. 15 in St. Louis.

The two sponsoring event organizers have more than 60 years of combined management, leadership and nonprofit experience. For more information, visit www.bethechangeforyourcommunity.com and https://traverstraining.com/.

The workshop is sponsored by Quincy Worx and the ACA Business Club of Quincy.
