Options for Women awareness luncheon to be held Tuesday at Immanuel Baptist Church in Hannibal

Options for Women

HANNIBAL, Mo. — Learn more about Options for Women during a free awareness luncheon at noon Tuesday, Sept. 20, at Immanuel Baptist Church, 3600 McMasters Avenue, in the church fellowship hall.

Options for Women is a pregnancy help center that opened in Bowling Green in 2016 with plans to open in Hannibal before the end of September. Services will include medical grade pregnancy tests, ultrasounds and life coaching — all confidential and at no charge. Pregnancy, parenting and life skills classes also will be offered free at the center and online with incentives for participation.

Tuesday’s event is designed for those who may have a limited amount of time but want to know more.

“We realize that time is typically short on people’s lunch hours, and we guarantee the event will last no more than an hour,” Paul Brunner, Options for Women executive director, said in a press release. “You can come and enjoy a wonderful meal, and learn and ask questions while you are eating.”

RSVPs are required for planning purposes. To make your reservation, call or text Amy Vaughn at 573-231-1775. The meal is being provided by the Immanuel Baptist Church congregation.

Options for Women also offers referrals for medical help and temporary housing for expectant mothers in need, prenatal vitamins, life coaching and support for those grieving an abortion or miscarriage, adoption referrals, information on abortion and abortion pill reversal, a mentoring program for young men, and ongoing support and encouragement to young parents.

Options For Women is maintained by donors and community volunteers. For more information about the organization, visit www.supportlife573.com or call 573-213-5119.
