47th annual Folklife Festival to fill Hannibal’s Main Street on Saturday and Sunday

HANNIBAL, Mo. — Exhibitors will fill the streets of Main Street on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 21 and 22, for the Hannibal Arts Council’s 47th annual Folklife Festival. Festival hours will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.

The festival features artists, artisans, makers selling traditional arts, fine arts and crafts, local musicians, food from local nonprofit church and civic organizations, a street pub, hot or cold apple cider, coffee, root beer, a kid’s corner activity area and a farmer’s market.

Attendees can expect to see fiber arts, pottery, leather craft, flint and glass knapping, furniture makers, wood carving, blacksmithing, jewelry, painting and drawing and a variety of other arts and fine crafts.  Exhibitors from all over the Midwest will have products for sale.

Foods being served will be kettle corn, chicken and noodles, cheese soup and catfish sandwiches. Drinks will be root beer, coffee, apple cider and craft beer.  

The Folklife Festival is sponsored by the Hannibal Arts Council, along with major sponsors HNB Bank, Hannibal HCVB and the Missouri Arts Council, a state agency.
