HANNIBAL Mo. — A bird-watching walk titled “Momma Birds and Baby Birds” will be held at 8 a.m. Friday, May 25, at Sodalis Nature Preserve.

The program will be led by Hannibal Parks and Recreation’s interpreter guide Gale Rublee and members of the Mississippi Hills Master Naturalist chapter.

In a pres release, Rublee said, “What do bird parents feed their young and when can they fly and feed themselves? While looking and listening to the morning birds, we’ll also see if we can spot or hear any baby birds.”

The walk will start at the new shelter at Sodalis Nature Preserve and follow along Bear Creek, which is paved and level.

The program is free and open to the public, but participation is limited. Register for space at www.hannibalparks.recdesk.com/Community/Program
