Bridge rehabilitation project on Route P in Lewis County scheduled to start Sept. 18

LEWIS COUNTY, Mo. — Lewis County Route P is scheduled to close as work begins Sept. 18 on the bridge rehabilitation project located over U.S. Route 61, seven-tenths of a mile south of Missouri Route 16 near Canton.

All entrance and exit ramps at the interchange will remain open during the bridge closure. The project is scheduled to be completed by late-October.

Included in this contract is an additional bridge rehabilitation project on Route 16 over U.S. Route 61, seven-tenths of a mile north of Route P at Canton. This bridge project is scheduled to be completed before the closure of Route P.

Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc. was awarded the contract earlier this year in the amount of $1,360,618.33. All work is expected to be completed by late-October.
