Businesses, job seekers wanted for Culver-Stockton College career fair set for March 14
CANTON, Mo. — Culver-Stockton College’s career fair is set for Thursday, March 14 at the Mabee Center Gym within the J.E. and L.E. Mabee Recreation and Wellness Center on the C-SC campus.
Doors to the career fair will open at 9 a.m. for high school students looking for jobs and officially open to the public at 10 a.m. This event, organized by Culver-Stockton Student Life, promises to be a valuable opportunity for both businesses looking to hire and people seeking employment, career advancement and exploration.
In a press release, Missy DuBuque, director of career and internship services, said, “We are seeking businesses (vendors) who need to fill positions. The 2023 event was very successful with more than 30 vendors. This year, we’ve expanded our job seeker invites to include area high schoolers along with students from area colleges.”
In addition to C-SC students, undergrad and graduate students from Hannibal-LaGrange University, Moberly Area Community College, Quincy University, John Wood Community College and Southeastern Community College have been invited to attend.
People seeking employment are encouraged to attend this free event.
“They should come ready to interview with resumé in hand and dressed appropriately,” DuBuque said. “The career fair aims to bridge the gap between education and employment by connecting talented individuals with reputable organizations. Whether you are a recent graduate, seasoned professional or high school student exploring future options, this event promises to be a valuable experience.”
Businesses who desire to be vendors can go online to bit.ly/3wm2mCf to fill out the registration form and submit payment for the $30 fee.
Campus tours will be conducted after the event for vendors interested in exploring the C-SC facilities. These tours will depart from the Mabee Center at 2:30 p.m., providing insights into the educational environment.
Questions regarding the career fair should be directed to DuBuque at 573-288-6000, ext. 6343.
