Clarity Healthcare to celebrate National Health Center Week Aug. 3-9

HANNIBAL, Mo. — Clarity Healthcare will celebrate National Health Center Week Sunday, Aug. 3 through Saturday, Aug. 9, with a series of events giving back to the community. The annual recognition week highlights the essential role centers like Clarity Healthcare play in providing equal opportunity for health care while saving lives and health care costs on the front lines of our nation’s most pressing public health challenges.
Activities scheduled for the week include:
Monday, Aug. 4 – Clarity Healthcare’s team will serve dinner at Loaves and Fishes in Hannibal and provide services with its mobile medical vehicle, including dental screenings.
Tuesday, Aug. 5 – Clarity Healthcare presents The Art of Being ME, a traveling photography exhibit de-stigmatizing mental health, at the Rialto Banquet Hall in Hannibal from 6 to 8 p.m. The exhibit has a large-scale presentation intended for viewers to feel like they are looking through the eyes of the participants to experience their stories. The exhibit is a collaboration between Brightli, Clarity Healthcare’s parent company, and Springfield- based artist Randy Bacon. The event is free to attend.
Clarity Healthcare will also have a booth at the Quincy Neighborhood Federation annual Back to School Fair on Aug. 5.
Wednesday, Aug. 6 – Clarity Healthcare presents an A.R.T.C exhibit at its 6639 York St. location in downtown Quincy, Ill., from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Clarity Healthcare’s A.R.T.C program helps bring a voice to youth and adults struggling with mental health or substance use disorders through artistic expression. The exhibit will include artwork from current and past A.R.T.C participants. The event is free and family friendly.
Thursday, Aug. 7 – Clarity Healthcare will provide free sports physicals and vision screenings at the Hannibal annual Back to School event. Clarity Healthcare’s dental and medical mobile units will be on site for additional free screenings and other services. Clarity Healthcare team members will also pass out hygiene kits to students. Additionally, team members from the Quincy Children’s Musuem will be present, and free haircuts will be available on a first come, first served basis.
