‘Cornhole for a Cause’ benefit Sunday to assist Canton woman with medical, living expenses

Cornhole for a Cause

CANTON, Mo. — “Cornhole for a Cause,” a benefit for Amanda Clay, will be held from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 22, at The Gather, 507 Clark.

Registration for this adult tournament (ages 18 and older) can be completed in advance at https://forms.office.com/r/tkc3KTgeWB, by emailing amandaclaymedical@gmail.com or beginning at 11 a.m. the day of the benefit. Tournament play will start at noon. Cost is $50 per team.

Other activities will be a silent auction, carnival games for the kids ($5 wristbands), and a free will dinner featuring soups, sandwiches, hot dogs and chips. This is BYOB event.

Clay was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2013 which resulted in five surgeries and 12 months of recovery before being declared cancer-free. The cancer returned in April 2022. She since has had to undergo multiple surgeries, chemotherapy and radiation treatment.
