Cruisin’ America’s Hometown celebration for Miss Missouri delegates set for Friday, Saturday

HANNIBAL, Mo. — The Miss Hannibal Organization will present Cruisin’ America’s Hometown, a celebration and community send-off for titleholders as they prepare to compete as delegates at the Miss Missouri competition.
Serving as ambassadors of Hannibal, these women will experience a two-day tour and showcase. The public is invited to join selected events and celebrate their work, talent and service.
The VIP tour begins on Friday with a Mark Twain Riverboat cruise at 1:30 p.m. Set sail with the delegates on a sightseeing cruise down the Mississippi aboard the Mark Twain Riverboat with Capt. Steve Terry. This event is open to the public. Tickets can be bought at the riverboat ticket office.
The Hannibal Tour Company will transport the delegates and Missouri Show-Me Stars by trolley to the Mark Twain Cave for a historic tour at 2:30 p.m. This tour is also open to the public. Tickets are available at the Mark Twain Cave Complex ticket office.
The Aloha send-off party will take place at 2 p.m. Saturday at The Crossing, 425 Broadway. This free, public event wraps up the celebration. The party will offer talent presentations from the Miss Missouri competition programs, community service spotlights, wardrobe showcases and meet-and-greets with Tom and Becky and community members. Refreshments will be served in the lobby following the show
Private events being held for the delegates include an evening BBQ and pool party celebration on Friday and a Pinky Promises Mother-Daughter tea party on Saturday at the Rialto Banquet Center.
“The delegates have worked tirelessly to serve Hannibal with heart, purpose, and pride,” executive director Debbie Stratton said in a press release. “This celebration is a way for our community to send them off in true Aloha spirit.”
