HANNIBAL, Mo. — The American Legion Hall, 3819 Hwy MM, will be the site for a Memorial Day service presented by Emmette J. Sheilds Post 55 of the American Legion. The service will begin at 10 a.m. Monday and use the following agenda:

  • POSTING OF COLORS — American Legion Post 55
  • INVOCATION — Ron Hendren
  • POW/MIACEREMONY — Commander, Maria Poindexter
  • PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE — Commander, Maria Poindexter
  • NATIONAL ANTHEM — Hymn, Rachel Bringer-Shepard
  • WELCOME — Commander, Maria Poindexter
  • REMARKS — Bob Koehn
  • HYMN — America the Beautiful
  • PLACING OF WREATHS — Ladies Auxiliary Victoria Ornelas
  • THE MEANING OF TAPS — Ron Hendren
  • SALUTE TO THE DECEASED — American Legion Post 55
  • TAPS — Dave and Justin Hirner
  • BENEDICTION — Ron Hendren
  • HYMN —God Bless America

Shorter services will be held at the following times and locations:

  • 8:30 a.m. — Grandview
  • Noon — Riverfront
  • 12:15 p.m. — Mount Olivet
  • 12:30 p.m. — River View and Robinson
  • 12:45 p.m. — Veterans Memorial
  • 1:15 p.m. — Old Baptist and Brakley
  • 1:30 p.m. — Holy Family
  • 2 p.m. — Pleasant View
