Family nature program set for Saturday in Becky’s Garden at Cardiff Hill Overlook in Hannibal
HANNIBAL, Mo. — Hannibal Parks and Recreation will offer a family nature program beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 17.
The program, called “Bug Out in Becky’s Garden,” will be held in Becky’s Garden at Cardiff Hill Overlook. Hannibal Parks and Recreation’s Interpreter Guide Gale Rublee said the program will be both educational and fun.
In a press release, Rublee said, “Insects are fascinating creatures with more diversity than any other animal. Let’s see how many different kinds of bugs we can observe and catch in the native plants at Becky’s Garden. Discover some of the different mouths and other body parts that separate insects into different categories or families.”
Nature programs are led by Rublee and members of the Mississippi Hills Master Naturalist chapter. Programs are free and open to the public but participation is limited. Register for space at www.hannibalparks.recdesk.com/Community/Program
