Family nature program set for Saturday in Sodalis Nature Preserve

HANNIBAL, Mo. — Hannibal Parks and Recreation will offer a family nature program, “Scat is Where It’s At,” at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 14, at Sodalis Nature Preserve. Nature interpreter Gale Rubee leads the program with the help of the Mississippi Hills Master Naturalists.
In a press release, Rublee said, “Naturalists call poop ‘scat.’ You can learn a lot by examining scat, from what kind of animal left the scat to what they’re eating. Join us for an hour of scatology and maybe a short trail hike to see if we can find some scat!”
Programs are free but registration is required at www.hannibalparks.recdesk.com/Community/Program
Hannibal Parks and Recreation programs are sponsored by Hannibal BASF.
