HANNIBAL, Mo. — Floodwaters near the Admiral Coontz Recreation Center have caused the senior adult dances to be moved to the American Legion Post 55, 3819 Highway MM, until further notice. The dances will continue to be held from noon to 3 p.m. every Tuesday.

Betty Parsons Miller is the leader of the Uptown Strings band that performs at the senior dances. The band consists of Martin and Betty Miller, Harlon Lain, Wendell Glance and Greg Cornelius. Special guests often join the band. Betty Miller is the only original member still with the band.
