HANNIBAL, Mo. — The Hannibal Early Bird Kiwanis Club recently made a $500 donation to support the Hannibal High School Band Boosters organization, which supports the various activities of the HHS band such as parades, several competitions, band uniforms and meals when the band is traveling.

The HHS band is comprised of more than 100 members who perform at every home football game and also participate in the annual HHS Band Day, scheduled this year for Saturday, Sept. 23, with a parade in the morning along Broadway in downtown Hannibal and band competitions in the afternoon at Porter Stadium.

The Hannibal Early Bird Kiwanis Club meets every Thursday at 7 a.m. at the Hannibal Holiday Inn Express and Suites.
