HANNIBAL, Mo. — The Hannibal Jaycees have donated to local organizations for years by adopting families or by buying items from the Angel Tree. As those programs have changed or no longer exist, the Hannibal Jaycees began their own Adopt-A-Family program in 2021 to provide gifts for families in need.

Hannibal Jaycees Haunted House proceeds have funded the program, along with community sponsorship and donations, but the need grows each year.

This year, the first Adopt-A-Family Fundraiser was held on Sept. 28 and helped 83 people during the holidays. This event included a silent auction, live auction, dinner and a DJ with all proceeds benefiting the Adopt-A-Family Program.

The second Adopt-A-Family fundraiser will be held on Sept. 13 with more details available at a later date on the Hannibal Jaycees website.

Any person or business interested in partnering with the Adopt-A-Family event should call chairman Bobi Stevens at 573-795-5299.
