Hannibal Lions Club donates $1,000 to support Hannibal Nutrition Center’s meal delivery program
HANNIBAL, Mo. — The Hannibal Lions Club held a check presentation Nov. 21 for its donation of $1,000 to the Hannibal Nutrition Center to support ongoing efforts in providing essential nutritional services to seniors.
The Hannibal Nutrition Center delivers meals to homebound seniors and provides daily meals at its facility to encourage fellowship and support for people who might otherwise be isolated.
Alfred King, a dedicated Lions Club member and a volunteer at the Nutrition Center, emphasized the significance of the center’s role in the community in a press release.
“The Hannibal Nutrition Center plays a vital role in our community by ensuring that seniors and those facing challenges have access to healthy meals,” he said. “As a volunteer, I see firsthand how these meals provide more than just nutrition — they offer companionship and a sense of community. This donation is a reflection of the Hannibal Lions Club’s commitment to supporting those who need it most.”
The Hannibal Lions Club supports organizations that address critical needs in the Hannibal area.
