Hannibal man allegedly shoots at empty car, charged
HANNIBAL, Mo. — A Hannibal man faces charges after firing off a handgun at a car following an argument.
On Tuesday, Andrew J.L. Lewis, 29, of Hannibal was charged with Unlawful Use of a Weapon. The charges stem from an incident that began Monday at approximately 10:25 a.m. in the 1100 block of Colfax.
An argument ensued between Lewis and another man, then Lewis fired several rounds from a
handgun at a nearby vehicle that was unoccupied. Lewis then fled the area, was located a short
time later and taken into custody without incident. A handgun was also recovered at the time of his
arrest.
Lewis’ bond is set at $25,000 and he remains in the Marion County Jail.
