HANNIBAL, Mo. — The 18th annual Ice Bowl disc golf tournament will be Saturday, Jan. 27, at the Don Crane Disc Golf Course in Huckleberry Park. The event is sponsored by the Hannibal Parks and Recreation Department with prizes are donated by Excitement Disc Golf.

Registration begins at 9 a.m. with tee-off beginning at 10 a.m. A fee of $10 to participate will go to the Buddy Pack program.

The Buddy Pack program benefits more than 400 Hannibal public and parochial school children each week. The program allows children to take home backpacks full of juice, soup, cereal, peanut butter and other simple staples each Friday. The goal is to make sure low-income children stay fed, healthy and productive.

The Ice Bowl mission is to increase local awareness of disc golf by raising funds for local and regional charities with an emphasis on fighting food insecurity.

Participants are encouraged to bring canned goods to the tournament as well.
