HANNIBAL, Mo. — Hannibal Regional Diabetes Center is offering a free diabetes class from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 8, in Conference Room 1 at Hannibal Regional Medical Group.

This class allows people to learn and refresh their knowledge about the nutrition and exercise foundations essential for optimal blood sugar management. Diabetes management can be challenging, with numerous factors influencing overall health. However, nutrition and exercise are elements people can control to support better health outcomes.

In a press release, Kristy Taylor, registered dietitian and certified diabetes care and education specialist, said, “We know there are so many factors that can impact our health, but nutrition and exercise are the two that we have the most control over. Our goal for this class is to empower patients to take charge of their health by providing them with the knowledge and tools they need to succeed.”

Participants should RSVP by calling the Hannibal Regional Diabetes Center at 573-629-3382.
