Hannibal Regional Medical Group welcomes family doctor to staff

HANNIBAL, Mo. — Hannibal Regional Medical Group recently added Dr. Allyson Munch to its family medicine team. Munch earned her medical degree from A.T. Still University in Kirksville and completed her residency at SIU School of Medicine.

In a press release, Munch said, “I’ve always been drawn towards being able to care for patients of all ages. I also enjoy the spontaneity primary care provides because you never know what may walk into your exam room.

Family medicine is a medical specialty devoted to comprehensive healthcare for people of all ages.  A family medicine physician delivers a range of acute, and chronic medical care services while providing preventive care for their patients.

Munch grew up in the Midwest and knew she would like to stay in the area to care for people in rural areas.

“No other place feels like home,” she said. “My faith and family are very important to me and being able to provide care in an area close to where I grew up is a great opportunity.”
