Hannibal Salvation Army Family Services to be host of free community block party Thursday

HANNIBAL, Mo. — The Salvation Army Family Services in Hannibal will have a block party from 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 16, within the Steamboat Bend Shopping Center parking lot near the Family Services/Family Store storefront. This event is free and open to the public.

“We will have games with prizes, free items will be given away, and our Canteen will be serving free food as well,” Family Services coordinator Amanda Bowen said in a press release. “The block party is a great opportunity for the community to get to know our staff in a casual and fun environment.”

Attendees can look forward to meeting The Salvation Army Family Services staff enjoying free hot dogs and water and various giveaway items.
