HLGU to host annual Alumni & Friends Golf Classic fundraiser Friday, Sept. 26

HANNIBAL, Mo. — Hannibal-LaGrange University invites area golfers and supporters to participate in its annual Alumni & Friends Golf Classic fundraiser on Friday, Sept. 26, at Norwoods Golf Club in Hannibal.
This community-friendly event serves as both a fundraiser and an opportunity for alumni, friends and local businesses to connect while supporting HLGU’s mission of providing Christ-centered higher education.
The format for the tournament is a four-person scramble, with contests for Longest Drive, Closest to the Pin and Longest Putt. Prizes will be awarded to winners of each contest, as well as to the overall tournament champions.
Registration and a BBQ lunch will be held at 11 a.m. with the golf tournament beginning at noon with a shotgun start.
Cost to register is $300 per team of four, which includes green fees, cart rental and lunch. Teams must register by Friday, Sept. 19, using the online form available at www.hlg.edu/golf-classic-registration.
HLGU is proud to announce that this year’s event is presented by Janes Surveying, Inc., a longtime supporter of the university and community initiatives.
“We’re looking forward to another fun and successful day at Norwoods,” said Lauren Youse, HLGU Director of Alumni Services and Development, in a press release. “This event brings together people who care about HLGU and want to invest in its students, all while enjoying great company and a great game.”
A variety of sponsorship opportunities are also available for individuals and businesses looking to support the event. Sponsorship packages include options for hole signs, contest sponsorships and more with recognition in print and digital materials.
