Keokuk man seriously injured after four-wheeler overturns Sunday night in Lewis County

LaBELLE, Mo. — A Keokuk, Iowa, man suffered serious injuries in a crash on a four-wheeler Sunday night.

A 2020 Polaris RZR, driven by Joseph Recor, 26, of Keokuk, was northbound on Route K, three miles north of LaBelle, when it overturned while Recor was trying to make a U-turn. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported Recor was transported by Air Evac helicopter to the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia. 

Lauren Kramer, 27, of LaBelle was a passenger in the vehicle and suffered minor injuries. She was transported to Blessing Hospital by a private vehicle.

The Lewis County Sheriff’s Department and Lewis County Ambulance provided assistance.
