Langhorne Meats and Provisions to hold ribbon cutting ceremony and networking event Thursday

HANNIBAL, Mo. — Langhorne Meats and Provisions, the Hannibal Chamber of Commerce and Ignite will have a ribbon cutting followed by a networking event on Thursday, Sept. 5. The ribbon cutting will begin at 4:30 p.m., with networking and refreshments continuing until 6 p.m.

Langhorne Meats and Provisions, which opened in May, offers beef, pork and poultry from local farms committed to sustainability and animal welfare.

In a press release, Nikki Barr, co-founder of Langhorne Meats and Provisions, said, “Langhorne Meats and Provisions is committed to supporting local farmers, producers, and artisans prioritizing sustainability, ethical practices and transparency in its sourcing. By forging partnerships with regional suppliers, we ensure that our customers have access to the freshest, highest-quality products while contributing to the prosperity of the local food ecosystem.”

At Langhorne Meats and Provisions, customers will find a variety of premium meats, such as hand- cut steaks, flavorful roasts and house-made sausages. The provisions section features an assortment of artisanal products, including locally sourced cheeses, charcuterie and specialty condiments.

Langhorne Meats and Provisions has worked with the Hannibal Regional Economic Development Council (HREDC) and the Hannibal Industrial Development Company (HIDC) and its revolving loan fund to establish the business.

Sean Freeman with the Missouri Small Business Development Center (SBDC) said, “HIDC is excited to offer loans to small businesses eager to invest in Hannibal and enhance the quality of life for our community.”

Ignite is a partnership between Hannibal Regional Economic Development Council, Missouri SBDC and the Hannibal Chamber of Commerce dedicated to creating an ecosystem that attracts, creates, supports and accelerates new and existing businesses in Northeast Missouri. The Ignite program is made of three components; expert technical assistance, establishing entrepreneurial support networks and connecting entrepreneurs with investors.
