LEWISTOWN, Mo. — A Lewistown woman recently was charged with two counts of felony stealing.

The Lewis County Sheriff’s Department received a report on Nov. 19 from an elderly person that her purse had been stolen from her apartment in Ewing. The victim also said her debit cards had been stolen and subsequently used at several ATMs in Lewis County and Adams County, Illinois.

The victim identified the suspect as a family member, Anna Renee Robertson, 41, who was later interviewed and admitted to taking the purse from the apartment.

A felony complaint was filed on Dec. 20 by Lewis County Prosecuting Attorney Chelsea Fellinger, alleging two counts of felony stealing. An arrest warrant was then issued by the Associate Circuit Judge Corey Moon.

Robertson was taken into custody at her apartment in Lewistown, then transported to the Lewis County Jail. She remains in the Clark County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash-only bond.
