Lincoln Day to attract statewide Republican candidates to Hannibal and Canton on Saturday
HANNIBAL, Mo. — Lincoln Day, a yearly event across many counties in Missouri, is an opportunity for voters to meet their state and local candidates in a local setting. This year’s local Lincoln Day will be held Saturday, Feb. 24, at the Hannibal Nutrition Center, 219 S. 10th.
Voters can meet with candidates beginning at 8 a.m. with breakfast provided by the Hannibal Nutrition Center at 9 a.m. The cost is $30 for a ticket. RSVPs can be sent to riggsformissouri@gmail.com through Feb. 21.
It is estimated that approximately 15 statewide Republican candidates for the offices of governor, lieutenant governor, secretary of state, attorney general and treasurer — as well as local candidates — will be in attendance.
At the conclusion of the event in Hannibal, the state candidates will head to Lewis County for a luncheon beginning at 11 a.m.
