Listening session Monday asking for community input about Mark Twain Boyhood Home and Museum
HANNIBAL, Mo. — The Mark Twain Boyhood Home and Museum is entering the ideation phase of a museum development project and will be the host of a community listening session at 3 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 20, in the Museum Gallery, 120 N. Main. The session will last no longer than 90 minutes.
The board and staff are undertaking the project to ensure the museum resonates with visitors and remains relevant for the next 25 to 50 years.
To guide this process, the museum is partnering with Thinc Design, a renowned design firm from New York responsible for creating award-winning exhibits at the Empire State Building.
Any and all levels of familiarity with the museum and Mark Twain are welcome. People attending can talk about their interests, the place they call home and how the museum can best serve its community of current and future visitors.
An RSVP is not required but is appreciated and can be made by calling 573-221-9010 ext. 303 or emailing Meagan.garey@marktwainmuseum.org.
