Hannibal students already win, no school Friday

HANNIBAL, Mo. – Will the last person left in Hannibal Friday please turn out the lights?

The Hannibal School District will not have classes on Friday so staff, students and fans can make the roughly two hour trek to Columbia and watch the Hannibal Pirates’ football team play for the Missouri Class 4A state championship.

Hannibal takes on Smithville at 11 a.m. Friday at Faurot Field, the home stadium for the University of Missouri Tigers.
