46th annual Folklife Festival set for Saturday, Sunday on Hannibal’s Main Street
HANNIBAL, Mo. — Exhibitors will fill the streets of historic Main Street on Saturday and Sunday, October 15-16, for the Hannibal Arts Council’s 46th annual Hannibal Folklife Festival.
Festival hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday.
The festival features artists, artisans, makers selling traditional arts, fine arts and crafts, local musicians, food from local nonprofits, church and civic organizations, Street Pub, apple cider, locally-roasted coffee, root beer, a kids corner activity area and a farmer’s market.
Attendees can expect to see weaving, pottery, candle-making, leather work, flint and glass knapping, furniture makers, carving, blacksmithing, jewelry, painting and drawing and a variety of other arts and fine crafts. Exhibits from all over the Midwest will have handmade products for sale.
Entertainment includes a full schedule of local and regional musicians sharing their talents in the Hannibal Folklife Festival environment of strolling and street performances.
Foods being served will include kettle corn, chicken-n-noodles, cheese soup and catfish sandwiches. Root beer, coffee, apple cider and craft beer will be served.
The Hannibal Folklife Festival is sponsored by the Hannibal Arts Council, along with major sponsors HNB Bank, the Hannibal Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Missouri Arts Council.
