American Legion Riders Chapter 55 poker run on May 20 to help buy hats, gloves for Hannibal students
HANNIBAL, Mo. — American Legion Riders Chapter 55 will sponsor its second poker run Saturday, May 20 with a theme of “Hats and Gloves with Love.” Proceeds from the poker run will be used to buy hats and gloves for Hannibal School District students.
The ride will begin and end at 3819 Highway MM. Registration begins at 11 a.m., with the run starting at noon. The 125-mile ride will cover Bowling Green and up through Mark Twain Lake to Monroe City and end at the American Legion in Hannibal. Stops on the route are Southside Bar, Hobo’s, Rick’s Place, Dug Out and Post 55.
Cost to enter is $10 for each rider and each passenger. The cost for an extra hand or extra card will be $5.
Prizes will be awarded for the best worst hand with $100 going to first place, $50 to second place and $10 to third place. The ride will feature a 50/50 raffle, food for $5 and soda for $1.
