Douglass-Community-Services

HANNIBAL, Mo. — Two programs at Douglass Community Services recently received grants from the General Mills Foundation hometown grant making program. The Kids in Motion program received $3,000, and the Food Pantry received $5,000.

The Food Pantry at Douglass Community Services provides food assistance to more than 500 families each month. Kids in Motion will provide volunteer opportunities and learning experiences for more than 40 middle school youths this summer.  Both programs rely heavily on local donations for operating expenses.

In a press release, Stephanie Cooper, CEO at Douglass Community Services said, “Time and again, General Mills continues to be a generous partner to Douglass with their ongoing financial support of our programs. For that, we are extremely grateful.”
