Great Rivers Bank

HANNIBAL, Mo. — Great Rivers Bank, which serves three communities in Illinois, recently opened its newest branch at 668 Broadway in Hannibal.

Great Rivers Bank is headquartered in Barry, Ill., and is a state-chartered full-service community bank with locations in Barry, Pittsfield and Liberty.

“Hannibal is an ideal market for Great Rivers Bank,” bank president Bob Garner said in a press release. “Our personal approach to banking will be a perfect fit with the community.”

Great Rivers Bank originally was chartered in 1901 as the First National Bank of Barry as a vision of local businessmen who saw a need for a strong community bank. The bank was converted into a state bank in 2018.

“We carry a tradition of dependable excellence into everything we do. We will always be an establishment known for its respect of time-honored tradition, customer-first focus and modern fiscal procedures,” Garner said.
