HANNIBAL, Mo. — The Hannibal Clinic Health and Safety Fair is scheduled from 10 a.m.-noon on Saturday, March 11, in the clinic’s main lobby.

Children can make their own mini first aid kits and meet Hannibal first responders. For adults, a Stop the Bleed presentation will take place from 10:30-11:30 a.m. in the clinic’s MJB conference room. The program teaches recognition of life-threatening bleeding and how to act quickly and effectively to control it through three techniques — properly applied pressure, packing and bandaging a wound and applying a tourniquet.

Basic CPR training for adults and children will be offered. It will include adult hands-only CPR and automated external defibrillator training, pediatric CPR and choking response and first aid.  This training can benefit parents, grandparents and babysitters. While these sessions are educational, participants will not earn certifications.

Stroke education will be available at the Hannibal Clinic Health and Safety Fair.

No registration is required to attend.
