Hannibal homeless man jailed on $25,000 bond, faces second-degree assault charges
HANNIBAL, Mo. — A homeless man is being held at Marion County Jail after allegedly attempting to stab an individual on Wednesday.
Dustin M. Baird, 36, was arrested on Thursday at approximately 9:42 p.m. on the charges of second-degree assault, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon.
The Hannibal Police Department was called to the 200 block of N Griffith for a person who was trespassing and damaging property.
A witness and the victim stated Baird had allegedly displayed a knife and lunged towards them attempting to stab them.
Baird was taken into custody without incident. No injuries were reported.
Baird’s bond was set at $25,000.00 cash or surety. He remains in the Marion County Jail.
