Hannibal student one of four scholarship recipients from Chariton Valley
MACON, Mo. — Nora Hark of Hannibal is one of four Missouri students to be awarded a $500 Chariton Valley scholarship from the Chariton Valley Telephone Cooperative and Chariton Valley Communications Corporation.
The Chariton Valley scholarship awards one-time scholarships to students from rural communities for their first year of college, university or vocational-technical school. During the last 22 years, Chariton Valley has awarded more than $80,000 in high school scholarships.
In a press release, Donna Bell, Chariton Valley’s public relations and economic development manager, said, “We take great pride in our partnerships with area schools and consider it a privilege to support local students in advancing their education. We congratulate all recipients and applaud their achievements.”
