MoDOT selects Peterson as Northeast District engineer

HANNIBAL, Mo. — The Missouri Department of Transportation recently selected Christopher Peterson as the area engineer assigned to Adair, Clark, Knox, Lewis, Schuyler and Scotland counties within the Northeast District.

In this role, Peterson will serve as MoDOT’s primary point of contact in the north area of the district and coordinate with local agency partners, community leaders, federal, state and local officials, businesses and the public.  Peterson replaces Amy Crawford, who took another position within the department.

Peterson began his career with MoDOT in 2018 at the Macon Project Office as a construction inspector and most recently held the position of highway designer in the northeast district. Peterson has experience working with construction projects and highway design. 

Peterson received a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering from Iowa State University.
