MSHP Troop B seeks participants for 16th Community Alliance Program in Hannibal

HANNIBAL, Mo. — Troop B of the Missouri State Highway Patrol is seeking people interested in attending its 16th Community Alliance Program which begins Monday, Sept. 13, 2021 at the Hannibal Career and Technical Center.

Participants will meet for 10 consecutive Monday nights. The program allows citizens to gain insight and understanding of the training and duties of the Missouri State Highway Patrol. Participants can meet and interact with troopers and civilian employees of the patrol. Instruction will cover firearms, traffic stops, traffic crash and criminal investigations, polygraph examinations and driving while intoxicated enforcement. Participants also will do a ride-along with a trooper. The program will culminate with an awards ceremony at the MSHP’s CDL Supersite, 4725 Ready Mix Road in Hannibal.

The class is limited to 18 people. It will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis after a criminal record check. People can apply for the program by going to the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s website and clicking on the Services icon. After clicking on Services, click Community/Student Alliance under Program Information, and the available programs page will open.
