MoDOT’s northeast district names Crawford as North area engineer
HANNIBAL, Mo. — The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) has selected Amy Crawford as the new area engineer for Adair, Schuyler, Scotland, Knox, Clark and Lewis counties, serving as an extension to the district office in Hannibal.
In this role, Crawford will serve as MoDOT’s primary point of contact in the north area of the district and coordinate with local agency partners, community leaders, federal, state and local officials, businesses and the public. Crawford replaces Christopher Peterson who took another position within the department.
Crawford has been with MoDOT for 23 years and most recently served as the Policy and Innovations Engineer in Jefferson City. She was selected for this role because of her experience in working directly with the public through her previous role as area engineer and with Northeast Coalition for Roadway Safety along with her construction and traffic engineering background.
Originally from Lentner, Crawford graduated from the University of Missouri at Columbia with a degree in civil engineering.
Crawford is available for public speaking andmedia interviews and is attending city, county and Chamber of Commerce meetings. She can be reached through MoDOT’s toll-free customer service center at 1-888-275-6636 or 573-248-2490.
