Monroe County Route J to close Feb. 19 for bridge rehabilitation project

HANNIBAL, Mo. — Monroe County Route J is scheduled to close Monday, Feb. 19, as work begins on the bridge rehabilitation project located over the Middle Fork Salt River, 0.5 miles east of Route OO, near Duncans Bridge. The project is anticipated to be completed by mid-May.

Included in this contract are two additional bridge rehabilitation projects at the following locations:

  • Route D, located 0.9 mile west of Route E near Santa Fe. (Complete)
  • Route Z, over Brush Creek, approximately two miles north of Route D, near Strother. (Tentatively scheduled to begin mid-April with completion estimated in early July)

Emery Sapp and Sons, Inc. was awarded the contract earlier last year in the amount of $2,486,413.
