Newly-formed coalition to address housing issues in northeast Missouri; first meeting is Oct. 3
HANNIBAL, Mo. — Progress is being made on NECAC’s “Coalition of the Willing” group that aims to address housing issues in 12 Missouri counties.
The idea came out of NECAC’s Tri-State Housing Summit in June. The group’s first meeting will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, at the NECAC Marion County Service Center, 3518 Palmyra Road, in Hannibal.
“We all know there is a housing crisis in many communities,” NECAC Deputy Director for Housing Development Carla Potts said in a press release. “NECAC is asking people interested in finding solutions to be part of the new coalition. The idea is to bring together public and private partners who will dedicate themselves to new development and renovation of existing housing.”
People who would like to join the effort or get more information can call NECAC at 573-324-6622.
