Nurse practitioner with 25 years of experience in medical field joins Clarity Healthcare team

HANNIBAL, Mo. — Clarity Healthcare invites Hannibal residents in search of a primary health care provider to consider seeing Tammy Hudson, a nurse practitioner who recently joined the Clarity team.
Clarity Healthcare has nine advanced practice nurses in its network, which spans from Columbia to Quincy, Ill. Recently hired by Clarity, Hudson is a board-certified and licensed nurse practitioner authorized to treat patients ages 13 and older.
Advanced practice nurses in Missouri work under collaborative practice agreements with physicians. Patients with certain conditions or complications may be referred to a physician in the Clarity Healthcare network. Nurse practitioners can treat clients seeking general wellness visits, managing chronic conditions or seeking help for a specific illness.
“I’m excited to use my experience to help our clients with diagnosis, treatment and management of acute and chronic conditions, plus wellness visits and follow up visits,” Hudson said in a press release.
Hudson started her medical career as a registered nurse in 2000. She worked as a dialysis nurse at Blessing Hospital in Quincy. She went on to attain her master’s degree in nursing from the University of Cincinnati in 2016. Her work in kidney care continued with two stints working for Indiana Nephrology and Internal Medicine, seeing patients in hospital and clinical settings.
Hudson is part of a Clarity Healthcare team that practices “treating the whole person” in Hannibal through integrated primary care, behavioral health and dental health services. She practices from the clinic on Communications Drive just off U.S. Highway 61 in Hannibal.
