Options for Women to have Banquet for Life events on Monday in Hannibal, Tuesday in Bowling Green

HANNIBAL, Mo. — Options for Women’s ninth annual Banquet for Life events are set for Monday, Oct. 16, at Calvary Baptist Church, 4605 W. Ely Road in Hannibal, and Tuesday, Oct. 17 at the St. Clement Knights of Columbus Hall, 14516 Highway J in Bowling Green.

This year’s theme is Pro-Woman, Pro-Child, Pro-Life.

Doors will open for both events at 5:45 pm. with the meal and banquets starting each evening at 6:30 p.m. There is no cost for the meal. However, these banquets do serve as a fundraising event for the organization, so opportunities to give will be offered throughout the evening.

Claire Culwell, an internationally known speaker and author, will be the presenter for the program. Culwell is an abortion survivor.

In a press release, Paul Brunner, Options for Women executive director, said, “It’s not too late. This is a message everyone should hear.”

Options for Women is a pregnancy help center that opened in Bowling Green in 2016 and in Hannibal at 7A Northport Plaza in October 2022. Services are medical grade pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, and life coaching — all confidential and at no charge. Pregnancy, parenting and life skills classes are offered free at the center and online, with incentives for participation.

Options for Women also offers referrals for medical help and temporary housing for expectant mothers in need, prenatal vitamins, life coaching and support for those grieving an abortion or miscarriage, adoption referrals, information on abortion and abortion pill reversal, a mentoring program for young men, and ongoing support and encouragement to young parents.
