Metro East man injured in Ralls County crash

HANNIBAL, Mo. — An Edwardsville, Ill. man was injured in a one-car crash Tuesday night in Ralls County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) reported a 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt driven by Mark C. Taylor, 46, was heading north at just before 8 p.m. Tuesday on U.S. 61, south of Meyers Trail in northern Ralls County, when it swerved to avoid a slow-moving vehicle and traveled off the right side of the road before hitting a utility pole.

Taylor was wearing a seat belt and taken by Marion County Ambulance to Blessing Hospital in Quincy with moderate injuries.

Ralls County Sheriff’s Department and Marion County Ambulance District assisted MSHP.
